The Marathon 2024 was held in London, United Kingdom. The three-day event started at 10:30 am on Wednesday, 17th April, and the closing bell rang on the evening of April 20th which happened to be Saturday.

The london Marathon 2024 was nothing short of drama. We witnessed close finishes, set backs, and awe inspiring surprises.
Starting with the men’s 26 mile run: it was dominated by Alexandar Mutiso who finished the run in 2 hours 4 minutes and 1 second. Alexandar Mutiso hails from Kenya and is a renowned long-distance runner who has participated in many Marathons throughout his career and won gold on multiple occasions.
The runner up for the men’s category was Kenenisa Bekele who managed to enduare the 26 mile run in 2 hours 4 minutes and 15 seconds. Our silver medalist hails from Ethiopia and is also a long-distance runner.
Occupying the last spot on the podium was Emile Cairess. Like the top two finishers, Emile is also a long-distance runner from the United Kingdom.
Shifting our attention to the women’s results. The first to finish was Peres Jepchirchir, who is a kenyan long-distance runner. The second spot was claimed by Tigst Assefa from Ethiopia, while the third position was occupied by Joyciline Jepkosgei.
